Small-group walks in Japan

Seinoza offers guided pilgrimages through the quieter corners of Japan. Our walks are created for those seeking deeper connection to self, to others, and to the world.

Groups are small in number and carefully selected to be generous in spirit. And along the way, you’ll enjoy equal parts solitude and togetherness, lightness and depth, movement and stillness.

An experience where the walking is the work, and the work is walking.

What do you notice about your environment? The people you move with? Yourself?

Our pilgrimages are spaces in which you’re invited to explore that which is important to you through movement and ritual, and to arrive at a deeper sense of connection.

You don’t need to be a seasoned hiker or a spiritual seeker. If you’re ready to walk with a sense of wonder, you’re already on the path.

What happens when you move through the world with intention?

Scenic view of Kata Bay, Japan, with mountains in the background, a clear blue sky with some clouds, a walking path on the right with a person, and a small canal flowing into the water, surrounded by grassy areas and rocks.
  • An immersive, 8-day pilgrimage through one of the most sacred corners of Japan

  • An average 11 miles / 18 kilometres of walking per day, allowing plenty of time to rest and reflect along the way

  • An intimate insight into daily life in small towns and villages, contrasted against time spent in forests, on maintains, and along the sea

  • Luggage forwarding to allow you to focus on the experience, and not your pack weight

  • Meals and accommodation, shared with your fellow travellers, in a variety of traditional and modern settings

  • Gentle facilitation before, during, and after the pilgrimage to support your intention and integration

A smiling couple taking a selfie in front of a traditional red Japanese torii gate surrounded by trees, both wearing blue outdoor jackets.

Kalia and Drew first met by happy accident, during Art of Accomplishment’s 2024 Master Class. Since then they’ve walked together through Japan, and through life, supporting one another’s spiritual journey. In 2025, on the cliffs of Mendocino, California, they decided to take their love of pilgrimage to the world, and Seinoza is the result.

Kalia works in the space between the stars, making sure the satellites above us stay connected to one another, and to us.

While their love of logic has served them well (and undergirds Seinoza’s operations), it once left little room for magic.

That changed on a walk through rural Japan, when one piercing question — inspired by a well-named yacht — opened a space for the sublime.

They’re now dedicated to building more conscious businesses and more aligned lives, through deep connection to self, others, and the wider world.

Drew is a coach and facilitator who arrived at his calling by way of design research, management consulting, drug addiction, and a double divorce.

During a life-altering burnout, he walked his first pilgrimage along the Camino Frances towards Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrimage turned out to be life-altering, too, setting him on a path of service.

He now supports others as they develop the clarity, discernment, and connection that sets them apart as exceptional leaders in business and in life.
